Good morning, World!

so, I’ve been awake for almost an hour. I’ve had the one cup of coffee that I’m going to allow myself. I can and will drink the whole pot (with 2 cups of sugar and milk) if I let myself. My co-workers all have commented on my ‘coffee problem’ in the past, but I had no idea why it was a problem. I’m going to replace my next 30 minutes of Facebook time with some warm-ups and stretching. That will get my blood moving and I’ll feel more alive than I do with coffee. I hope that’s what will happen at least. :-) then I will have lots of water all day long! Wish me self-control!

First temptation passed, but can I get past the ultimate temptation?

I’m about to go back to work at my fast food restaurant! I have a plan in place though. I’ve got my 100 calorie granola bars in my purse along with some sliced pears and apples, so when I finally get a chance to eat I won’t go for the fried food (Damn you chicken strips!) I’ve also got to remember to stay away from the sweet tea. I can do it though. I know I can! Wish me luck everyone!

I worked out last night with my friend Joe. He has this Navy Seals PT video…which is apparently only a beginners video, but I swear to you this guy did more than 100 push ups in a half hour! I didn’t get too many of those, but the stretches were good and the ab workout has stuck with me. Ouch! I’m trying to keep in mind that I was really working alot of muscles, but when I couldn’t help but to step on the scale this morning I was still disapointed that i had gained a pound. I know it was just muscle, because I had only about 1300 calories yesterday.

Ok, time to go or I’ll be late. This is actually the last week I will be working for this company. I’m going to work for Firehouse Subs next week. They have some pretty good options for low-fat low-calorie food. If any of you live near one I advise you look at their nutrition info, because (taste wise) they make subway look bad. I’m not really sure how healthy Subway is, cause I have not actually seen thier info, but I doubt they could be that much lower.

Day 1!

I’m so excited about this site and getting to know some people in my area who WOULD like to go for walks! I enjoy a nice brisk walk, but I hate to go alone and my husband doesn’t like to do anything like that. I don’t have any friends around here, because I work 55 hours a week and most of the people I come in contact with work for me. It’s against all sorts of policies to see anyone outside of work, so I just go home and watch my husband play games. BORING!

I’m so happy with myself for checking in today! Also, I cut back on the sugar in my coffee and did a little stretching and whatnot to get my heartrate up while I was waiting on it to brew. I’m hoping that will stop me from needing the second cup and burn off at least half the sugar! lol! I feel pretty good so far.

I go back to work tomorrow. That will be the true test! I work for Bojangles (those of you who don’t live in the south east…we serve fried chicken and biscuits) so taking the time to put together something healthy is often times difficult. I will try to be strong though! Wish me luck!
